After being picked up from your Darwin accommodation, we will depart on this seven day road journey, which will take you through nearly 2500 kilometres of the most spectacular tropical woodlands, grasslands, escarpments and billabongs.

These habitats are the home of a myriad of animals ranging from the reclusive Short-eared Rock Wallaby and Sandstone Shrike Thrush to the sometimes over friendly species like the Great Bowerbird. These locals will often take the food of your table. Watchout!

Sitting on the edge of a tropical billabong watching the hundreds of creatures interacting with each other is a sight that you will never forget. It is not uncommon to see 50 species of birds, a couple of species of monitors and maybe even a Freshwater Crocodile all in less than an hour. Take a closer look and there is a staggering variety of species all living within this little corner of heaven.

OUR EAST KIMBERLY TOUR DEPARTS FROM AND RETURNS TO DARWIN

Large Tree

Try a biscuit made from locally grown Boab root. They taste great!

Kununurra, our home base in the East Kimberley, is in the heart of some of Australia’s most incredible sights.

Standing amongst a forest of Boab Trees or watching tens of thousands of Flying Foxes leaving their daytime roosts are truly surreal experiences.

Lake Argyle when at capacity is over 2000 square kilometres. When sitting on or flying over this immense body of water it is hard to believe that it is a result of mans intervention. Over 240 species of birds can be found here.

A half-day will be left open in Kununurra for those that would like to take a scenic flight (extra cost) over the Bungle Bungles or Lake Argyle.
